26 & 27 Harland Villas and Selby Meadow


Two award winning gardens:

26 – A traditional Edwardian rose garden, with flower borders & vegetable garden with fruit cages. Terrace with views, giving a Mediterranean feel.

27 – A relatively new garden divided into rooms by obelisks, arches and a rose tunnel, with a pond & water feature. A potages vegetable garden complete with Barbie the chicken. Part wheelchair accessible. Children to be supervised at
all times due to water.

Refreshments: Homemade teas, tombola, plant stall.

Admission: £3 to include all 3 gardens. Children free.

Directions: From the Highlands roundabout turn into Mallard Drive, and Harland Villas is on your right immediately after the 1st speed bump. TN22 5SR – Please park in the road or alternatively at the bottom of the Highlands Inn car park (open all day, meals available 12-3 pm).

Selby Meadow

A small woodland garden gradually evolving from a piece of neglected land owned by Uckfield Town Council. It has been cleared and is maintained by local residents. It has a lovely natural feel with mature trees, hedges and wild flowers. Everything in the garden has been recycled or donated and no chemicals are ever used. Dogs on leads and children are very welcome in this garden. All proceeds to Hospice.

Directions: Approach via Framfield Road, from Uckfield, Selby Road is on right. Park far end, Selby Road. TN22 5EB.
