Players in the Park - A Midsummer Night’s Dream
Shakespeare's best known and well loved comedy. A story of love, confusion and meddling faeries. Hermia loves Lysander but Daddy favours Demetrius. Demetrius dumps Helena for the chance to woo Hermia, Helena's best friend but Hermia isn't interested. The Duke of Athens, Theseus is distracted by his own love for Hippolyta and their lavish wedding plans. The lovers take to the woods, but that's not a good idea either. For here there is a manic group of players rehearsing a new version of an old play for the Duke's wedding. And to cap it all, Oberon and Titania, the King and Queen of the faeries are about to kick off on yet another spectacular fight causing chaos for mortal and faerie alike.Just an everyday soap really… but much more fun and a guaranteed happy ending.
