What is Gift Aid?
By signing a Gift Aid declaration we can increase the value of your gift by a further 25p, through Gift Aid Relief from the Government, for every £1 you give. £10 can be turned into £12.50 at no extra cost to you.
Who can Gift Aid donations?
I confirm that I am a UK income or Capital Gains taxpayer. I have read this statement and want the charity named above to reclaim tax on the donation detailed below, given on the date shown. I understand that if I pay less the Income tax or Capital Gains tax in the current tax year than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all of my donations, it is my responsibility to pay any difference. I understand the charity will reclaim 25p of tax on every £1 that I have given.
How does it affect me?
All we need you to do is to sign the Gift Aid declaration on the reverse of this form. The rest is up to us. We then claim the extra money from the Government. You do not need to do anything else.
Do I need to sign a Gift Aid declaration for each donation?
You only need to sign a Gift Aid declaration once because it can also apply to donations that you might make in future. However, if your circumstances alter and you no longer pay an amount of Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax equal to the tax that we reclaim on your donations you may have to pay any difference.
To Gift Aid your donations, simply complete the Gift Aid declaration on any of our donation forms or download our Gift Aid declaration form.
