User feedback

DSC 2336 - Copy

We take the feedback we receive from our patients and their families very seriously. We like to hear about what we do well, but we also want to know what we could improve or do differently.

We already receive many positive and constructive comments in letters and cards from patients and families, but we also seek feedback in a number of ways.

We provide:

  • an email address for patients to send us their views and suggestions
  • ‘Just one thing’ cards which can be completed by those patients and families who use our services at the hospice
  • questionnaires to gather views and opinions on a range of topics

We regularly publish and display a ‘You said, we did’ poster which outlines the actions we have taken as a result of the feedback we have received.

However, in addition to the above, we are forming a network of patients, families and other users who would be prepared to be contacted from time to time to share their views and experience of care we provide. We do hope that a good number of people will join our User Network to ensure that it accurately reflects the views of people who use all of our range of services.

If you choose to join this network you may be asked for your views by email or telephone, or you might be invited to join a group for one or two meetings to focus on, for example, a proposed development or change to an existing service, a new fundraising idea, or advice on patient and family information leaflets. Of course, you would be free to leave the Network at any time.
